“Randy Warm was the general contractor on an extensive renovation that we undertook on our townhome in Whistler. Randy came highly recommended to us by a couple who had contracted him to renovate their home in our neighbourhood. Our renovation included adding a completely new HVAC system, moving walls, engineering new stairs, complete rewire. walls stripped to the studs, a stone fireplace, and many other changes and improvements.
Renovating can be a challenge, but that was not the case with us. Randy’s expertise was readily apparent throughout the design build process. His local knowledge and connections to the trades proved invaluable. Randy worked closely with our designers right from the get-go and developed an excellent working relationship with them. There were several times where he suggested alternative ideas on ways to improve on our design and in a few cases resulted in cost savings that had no impact, and actually improved on the final build quality. These suggestions came from his extensive experience on past projects and we appreciated that.
We were provided with a detailed budget and a timeline that meshed with our thinking. The renovation was finished within the timeframe that Randy laid out and we finished very close to the original budget that he presented to us. We also pretty much stuck to our to our original design and avoided change orders, which can be costly.
His crew is very competent, professional, and a pleasure to work with. They definitely deserved a shout out after our project was complete. Finally, they are readily available if we have any follow up questions.
